Water bowser team supported local crews as they tackled fire

CREWS from Maldon and neighbouring fire stations tackled a large field fire close to high-voltage power lines near Heybridge on Sunday, 23 August.
Maldon, Witham and Chelmsford firefighters were supported by a team from Corringham that attended with its water bowser, providing 12,500 litres of water to combat low pressure locally.
The incident originated with a fire in a log pile beside Langford Road.
Maldon Fire Station thanked drivers and residents for their patience as firefighters laid hoses and installed hose ramps to maintain an uninterrupted water supply.
