Fish and Chip Quiz Night at Maldon Town Hall: Friday June 17, at 7pm

  • To raise money for Maldon Carnival.

Soultasia in Promenade Park, Maldon: Friday June 17, from 4.30-10.30pm

  • This weekend's Prom Park events will kick off with this mini-festival, featuring performances by soul stars Shalamar, Billy Ocean, The Real Thing and Sister Sledge.

Maldon Ghost Walk, meeting outside All Saints' Church, Maldon: Saturday June 18, from 7pm

  • Come on down to Maldon town for tales of murder and mischief in the night.

Burnham Art Trail at Burnham Museum (+ elsewhere): Saturday 18 - Sunday 26 June

  • Forty artists from around the Maldon and Burnham area display their work at thirty two venues in Burnham-on-Crouch.
  • The Museum 'Hub' (Coronation Road, CM0 8AS) features four artists plus a 'Taster' Wall with a piece from every artist, 'Secret Postcards' and unframed work and cards, to browse or buy.

Fantasia in Promenade Park, Maldon: Saturday June 18, from 3-10.30pm

  • Musical superstars The Jacksons and Wet Wet Wet will perform live as part of seven hours of music and entertainment.
  • They will be supported by ABBA tribute 'Bjorn Again', Mis-Teeq's Sabrina Washington, X Factor winner Matt Cardle, and ITV's 'Star Struck' finalist Rob Lea, who will perform with his Queen tribute band 'Majesty'.
  • Funky Voices, a 70-strong choir who recently performed with Erasure, will open.

Blackwater Country Show in Chigborough Road, Heybridge: Sunday June 19, from 10am

  • Throughout the day, there will be entertainment and displays in the Main Ring.
  • Explore the showground to find skilled craftsmen, local producers, unique exhibits, children's activities, heavy horses and many other interests.
  • Dogs are welcome - enter your pooch into the dog show to be in with a chance of winning a rosette.
