From a gathering of superheroes to live music with views of the Hythe, we have put together a round-up of unmissable events happening in Maldon this weekend.

FRIDAY: Enjoy acoustic music while overlooking the Hythe
Celebrate the start of the weekend with live acoustic music at Maldon Little Ship Club on Friday (18 February).
Dan Fraser will be singing folk acoustic songs from 7.30pm at the pub, on the Hythe, for residents to enjoy.

FRIDAY: Celebrate local artists at the Maeldune Centre's first exhibition of 2022
The Maeldune Centre is open for 2022 and you can visit its first exhibition of the year from now until 26 February.
The exhibition includes paintings and mixed media from local artists George Kowzan, Hugh Beattie, Gill Mitcham, Ailish Warner, Charlie Moore, Peter Dean and Malcolm Brown.
There is also a craft shop, talks on the Maldon Embroidery, local history displays and Maldon Society photographic and video archives for visitors.
The centre is open between 11am and 4pm on Tuesdays to Saturdays.
Entry is free.

SATURDAY: Dress up as a superhero at Maldon Library
Children are being invited to dress up as their favourite superheroes and visit Maldon Library on Saturday (19 February).
The event marks Love Your Library day, and will begin with a community teatime session at 10am.
This will be followed by a special storytime and arts and crafts.
There may even be the opportunity to meet a real-life superhero - Pluto the guide dog puppy.
There is no need to book the event and it is free to attend - simply head down to the library in Carmelite House on White Horse Lane in Maldon on the day.
