Manning and Thurston's Fun Fair at Promenade Park, Maldon
Manning and Thurston's Family Fun Fair is paying its first ever visit to Maldon's Promenade Park this week, until July 30.
Open daily from noon, the fun fair is free to enter.
There are discounted prices on all rides from 6pm every day, with most rides costing £1.50 each. Dodgems will cost £3 per car and other rides may vary.
Friday 28 July
Essex Deaf Children's Society Summer Skate Session at Madison Heights, Maldon - from 6pm
Roller skating for deaf children, their siblings, and CODA aged 10+.
Parents are requested to stay onsite to supervise. Entry costs £5 per child (cost subsidised by EDCS)

Wheels, Hooves & Paws 2023, at Elmwood Equestrian Centre, Burnham On Crouch - from 11am
Churchgoers from three parishes in the Maldon District have come together to raise funds for repairs to their churches, through an event on Saturday 29 July.
It will run from 11am until 4pm and promises to be a fun day out for the whole family.
Last year, organisers held a successful 'Wheels and Paws' event but have expanded the scope of the fundraising show for 2023.
This year, the event will feature a horse show alongside the usual dog show and historic vehicles. There will also be a wide variety of children's activities, along with a range of stalls and refreshments.
Wheels, Hooves & Paws will be held at Elmwood Equestrian Centre in Burnham-On-Crouch.
Maldon & Heybridge Horticultural Society Summer Show and Plant Sale at United Reformed Church Hall, Maldon - from 11am
The Maldon & Heybridge Horticultural Society Summer Show will be held at the United Reformed Church Hall, Market Hill, Maldon on Saturday 29 July, from 11am to 3.30pm.
Admission to the show is costs 50p (free to exhibitors). Pop in and take a look at the fantastic exhibits. Refreshments, including homemade cakes, will be available to purchase.
The Society's popular plant stall will be outside the church from 10am, packed with a wide range of great value plants grown by members. There is usually a broad selection of houseplants, perennials, edibles and more!
There are 100 classes to choose from for anyone hoping to take part. These include: fruit and veg, flowers, floral arrangements, handicrafts, photography, baking and children's crafts.

Burnham-on-Crouch Lifeboat Station Open Day - from 10am
The Burnham-on-Crouch Lifeboat Station will be open this Saturday (July 29) from 10am until 1pm.
Pop in for a tea, coffee or cake with good views of the Burnham Yacht Harbour. Members of the Crew will be available in the Station for a chat, plus tours of the boat houses to see our Atlantic 85 or D-Class will also be available. The RNLI will will also be hosting its fundraising and retail stand at the Station, with our 50 RNLI branded products at reasonable prices.
Byrhtnoth's Viking Tour, Maldon - from 6pm
Enjoy a tour of Maldon's Promenade Park, focusing on ancient Essex history, especially the terrifying invasion of Maldon by the Vikings, and the famous Battle of Maldon.
The tour involves an very pleasant relaxing walk along the Maldon quayside, with stunning views over the Black water Estuary.
The tour rounds off perfectly on a lighter note, with a short talk on the history of fish and chips in England, and the story of Maldon's famous salt. Participants can then enjoy a meal of fish and chips or scampi at an old 15th Century inn on the quayside
The walk is approximately two miles, along pavements on the promenade. This tour is wheelchair friendly but not suitable for those with walking difficulties.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times during the tour.
Skate for Ellis Fundraising Disco Night at Sk8ters, Madison Heights, Maldon - from 7pm
The Sk8ters roller rink at Madison Heights, Maldon, is holding a fundraising event for a local 5-year-old with rare cancer, on July 29.
Ellis, from Chelmsford, was diagnosed with Stage 4 high-risk Neuroblastoma two years ago. Neuroblastoma is a rare and aggressive cancer which affects 83 children per year in the UK.
Tickets purchased in advance cost £10, or can be bought in cash for £13.95 on the door. The event will donate all ticket and raffle proceeds to Ellis' family.
Sunday 30 July
Farmers Market at the Bell Inn, Tolleshunt Major - from 9am
Chilli sauce producer David's Kitchen will be selling a range of jams, condiments, chutneys and "some of the hottest and tastiest chilli sauces in the South-East".
There will also be a selection of alcoholic jams, special seasonal chutneys, gins, vodkas and some special seasonal lines.
Other local artisan producers and crafters will be selling their wares, too.
Craft Fayre at Studio On The Quay, Burnham On Crouch - from 10am
From 10am until 2.30pm, enjoy another Burnham craft fayre with a range of items on offer from local crafters and small businesses.
The fayre will be located in the studio on the Quay, next door to the Bistro.
Come in for a chat and peruse what the sellers have on offer. You can also pick up a tasty treat too. Dogs are welcome so pop in while you take your pooch for a walk!
