Thursday

Musical, Witham

Witham Public Hall is hosting Calendar Girls, a smash hit musical by Gary Barlow & Tim Firth. Calendar Girls follows a group of extraordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women's Institute, prompted to create this calendar following the death of a much-loved husband and friend, to raise fund for Charity. But upturning preconceptions is a dangerous business and none of the women are prepared for the emotional and personal ramifications they will face. The true story of the Calendar Girls launched a global phenomenon: a million copycat calendars, a record-breaking movie, now celebrating 20 years since its release, the fastest-selling stage play in British history and now a musical written by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth. The show is running from April 22 - 27, with evening shows starting at 7.30pm, and the matinee starting at 2.30pm on Saturday.
