Public meeting tomorrow on the future of St Peter's Hospital

The Public Meeting on the future of St Peter's Hospital will take place at 7pm on Friday February 9 in the Stage Hall of the Plume Academy.

The meeting will be chaired by Cllr Andrew Lay, Mayor of Maldon and will be attended by a range of relevant figures from the community including local MP Rt Hon Sir John Whittingdale, Cllr Richard Siddal, Leader of Maldon District Council, and Tracy Dowling, Chief Executive of the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board.

Dr Matt Sweeting, Medical Director, and Deborah Goldsmith, Director of Midwifery at the ICB will also be in attendance, as well as representatives of the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. 

Sir John Whittingdale told Nub News: "I am keen that as many local residents as possible should have an opportunity to ask questions and to express their views at the meeting as well as responding to the consultation."

Details of how to respond to the consultation shall be given at the meeting.
