West Essex 0, Maldon & Tiptree 3

FOLLOWING the departure of manager Peter Taylor at the weekend, Jammers bounced back with an emphatic result in this evening's (Tuesday. 22 August) FA Cup preliminary round replay against lower league West Essex.

The Essex Senior League side produced a performance that rang the death knell for the ex-England boss on Saturday but at the second time of asking Jammers showed their superiority, albeit late in the day.

An own goal from the hosts' Emmanuel Wazola put Jammers ahead on 39 minutes.

George Smith made the tie safe with the visitors' second seven minutes from time and to add the final nail, Louie Rei notched an added time third.

Maldon will now be away to Biggleswade FC of the Southern Football League Division One Central in the first qualifying round.
