SWIFTS moved into the Isthmian North play-off zone with a fine win against leaders Sudbury on Tuesday 15 November) evening.

Kieran Jones got things off to a great start with a third minute goal and Sam Carter grabbed a second with a fine strike from the edge of the box on 25 minutes.

Sudbury's Nnamdi Nwachuku continued his tremendous scoring run to get the visitors back in it a minute into the second half but Swifts centre back Darren Phillips restored the two goal advantage on 57 minutes with a powerful header from distance which the assistant ref deemed had crossed the line despite a clearing header.

Darren Phillips' header was over the line.

Nwachuku grabbed his second with 21 minutes to go but Swifts held firm to take the win.

Home thoughts now turn to Saturday's FA Trophy second round home clash with Hereford.
