A new documentary series produced by Louis Theroux examining the White House Farm murders will premiere tonight (Sunday, 26 September).

The Bambers: Murder at the Farm will be shown at 9pm on Sky Crime and NOW TV.

The four-part series will explore the notorious 1985 murders of five family members at White House Farm in Tolleshunt D'Arcy.

Jeremy Bamber was sentenced in 1986 to life in prison for the murders of his adoptive parents Nevill and June, both 61, his sister Sheila Caffell, 26, and her six-year-old twin sons Daniel and Nicholas.

Jeremy, now 60, has always protested his innocence and says that the killings were carried out by his adoptive sister Sheila, who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, before she turned the gun on herself.

The series will re-examine the murders and look at evidence that has emerged since the original trial, and includes suggestions that Jeremy may be innocent.

It features unheard recordings of Jeremy who, in the trailer, says: "I don't have that in me - I'm not someone who gets angry, loses their temper and lashes out ever.

"I can prove that I'm not a murderer."

The series, which has been executive produced by Theroux, also includes first-hand testimony and previously unseen archive footage.

It comes from documentary production company Mindhouse, which was formed in 2019 by Theroux, Nancy Strang and Arron Fellows.
