Burnham-on-Crouch High Street to be resurfaced overnight
A section of Burnham-on-Crouch High Street is to be resurfaced overnight as part of Essex County Council's new £25 million highways programme.
Burnham-on-Crouch High Street is set to be resurfaced this Sunday night, October 27, as part of Essex County Council's new Priority One programme.
Announced this Autumn, the £25 million of funding enables additional highways crews and resources to be available to address issues which matter most to residents.
This includes road surfacing, vegetation clearance, drain clearing and painting road markings and lines across the county.
The works are set to take place on the High Street between Providence and Belvedere Road on Sunday night from 8pm until 5am on Monday.
Councillor Mark Platt, Lead Member for the Priority One programme, said: "Priority One is looking to address what we know can frustrate local people.
"Over the coming months, we will be undertaking works across every district and borough in the county. I am very pleased we have been able to bring forward these works in Burnham-on-Crouch."
During the works, residents are asked to ensure their vehicles are parked off the High Street.
Councillor Platt added: "The team will keep disruption to a minimum during these overnight works and we thank local residents for their support and patience."
