Family pay tribute to 'selfless' grandmother who died following collision in South Woodham
The family of a woman who died following a collision on the A132 have paid tribute to a "selfless" and "inspirational mother".
The collision, involving a lorry and a car, occurred shortly before 4pm on Tuesday, August 13.
One woman, 66-year-old Janet Susan Finch from Hullbridge, died at the scene.
Her passengers, two children, were taken to the hospital following the collision.
In a moving tribute, her family said Janet will be remembered fondly for her many qualities: "Janet was a kind person who lived her life selflessly, putting the needs of others before her own.
"A truly remarkable, strong, independent soul, who was sadly taken from her friends and family on 13 August.
"She was a loving caring partner, a solid, inspirational mother and gentle nurturing grandmother.
Janet loved all her family including her brother, nieces and nephews and she leaves behind a vast community of friends who she loved and who loved her.
"You were taken from us all far too early, yet your memory will live on in us all for years to come.
"Rest in peace, Mum."
A 41-year-old man, the driver of the lorry, was arrested and has been released under investigation whilst Police continue their enquiries.
