HIGH winds are forecast for the Maldon district area almost all day tomorrow (Friday, 25 September).

Gusts of between 44 to 55mph are expected to hit from 9am until midnight. Winds could reach 60 to 65mph in coastal areas.

The Met Office today issued a yellow weather warning for high winds across the east of England.

A yellow warning means that disruption to travel is possible, especially on exposed routes.

While a yellow warning for heavy rain has also been forecast for parts of East Anglia at the same time, it is not expected to reach down as far as Maldon and the Dengie peninsula.
