Event Schedule at Light Up Maldon

Get ready for your visit to the annual Light Up Maldon Christmas lights switch-on and Market

on Thursday, 27th November 2025 from 5pm to 9pm.

The full event schedule has been confirmed and includes:

6:00pm: Moot Hall Balcony - Join the Mayor and special guests for the highly anticipated

Christmas Lights Switch-On.

Main Stage Highlights:

• 6:05pm: The Big Sing: A community sing-along to get you in the festive spirit.

• 7:00pm - 7:45pm: Mars Garden, 60s Band

• 7:50pm - 8:40pm: Adrian Warwick, Solo Artist

The stage will be located at the top of Market Hill, off the High Street.

Additional Entertainment:

Cygnet Room (to the back of Swan Hotel)

5:15pm onwards - Various school choirs and Maldon Youth Orchestra as well as a face painting stall.

Aladdin characters and 'Allo, 'Allo 2! (René and Edith) will be meeting and greeting!

Light Up Maldon will showcase the best of the Town, with Town Centre shops expanding

their presence with stalls outside their premises, joined by food stalls, community groups,

craft stalls and local charities lining the High Street.

Caroline Coastal FM radio will be broadcasting from the Maldon High Street on the evening and chatting to people at the event.

The Town Centre shops have again been invited to decorate their windows. The 'Window Display Celebration' will be judged by the Town Mayor and Deputy Mayor on 25th November.

All timings of entertainment are approximate and subject to change.

There will be a road closure from 2.30pm to 10.30pm on Thursday, 27th November to allow for set-up and set down before and after the event on Maldon High Street. There will be a road diversion in place during the closure.
