Two men who were arrested near Steeple on Sunday evening have been charged with intent to supply cocaine.

After police stopped their vehicle, the duo was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of class A drugs with intent to supply. The vehicle was uninsured, so it was seized.

On Monday, police presented the evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service who authorised charges for possession with intent to supply.

In a statement, an Essex Police spokesperson said: "Both individuals have been remanded and they will be presented to the Magistrates Court."
