Maldon District: Steeple road closure begins today - running until Saturday

Foxhall Road in Steeple is closed for road works from today (September 21) until Saturday, Essex Highways has announced.
Essex Highways says the three-day closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while workers undertake "Carriageway Patching".
'Patching' takes place to repair the road surface. It involves removing a part of the surface around a pothole and placing a new patch of road surface.
A 16-minute diversion route will be in place for road users:
- Continue on Southminster Road
- Turn left towards Tillingham Road/B1021
- Turn slight right towards Southminster Road
- Continue on South Street
- Turn slight right towards Bradwell Road
- Continue on Bradwell Road
- Continue on Mill End
- Turn left towards Maldon Road
- Continue on Bradwell Road
- Continue on The Street
- Turn slight left towards Maldon Road
- Turn slight left towards Steeple Road
- Turn sharp left towards Grange Avenue
- Continue on Green Lane
