The popular annual Maldon Fireworks will return to Promenade Park "with a bang" on Saturday 4 November, with support from local company TFP Financial Planning.

Along with live music and an incredible display, this year's event will feature a fire-eating display from Joel Hicks as well as the traditional bonfire and giveaways. It all kicks off from 5.30pm.

Brian Farrington, Chairman of the Rotary Organising Committee, said: "It makes a huge difference to Rotary fundraising to cover some of the substantial costs involved with putting on an event like this.

"The event offers families a wonderful night out and we are also very grateful to be joined by Matt Mackay and soul legend John Leech from BBC Essex to enable us to provide an incredible music backdrop to the evening."

BBC Essex's Matt Mackay will compere the evening's proceedings, broadcasting live on the radio.

"Without ticket supporters like TFP, Heating Oil Today, Borough Flooring, and other local names, it would be impossible to keep ticket costs low while raising funds for Essex charities and Rotary activities."

Following the fireworks, BBC Essex "soulman" John Leech will present an hour of cool-down soul sounds, to allow visitors time to enjoy local food and drink and avoid the car park rush.

Dan Haylett, Director at TFP Financial Planning, says he is "delighted" to be supporting the event.

He said: "Having been to a number of them over the years, it's a wonderful spectacle and a fun family evening out. We are based on the High Street and see supporting local community events as key to our continued growth.

"Working with Maldon Fireworks is a great opportunity to get involved locally, support a wonderful event, as well as huge fun for our staff and clients. We also hope to be able to work with the team at the Maldon Mud Race in 2024 and are excited to raise awareness of our award-winning services via these prestigious community events."

Organisers say tickets are selling quickly, and are only available to purchase via the Maldon Fireworks website. Visitors will not be able to purchase tickets at the gate, as they must be bought in advance.
