Maldon Splash Park to open ‘for the final time this year’ on Sunday

Maldon Splash Park is set to open for one final day this Sunday (September 10), after reopening due to popular demand during the recent heatwave.

The aqua play area had initially been open full-time from July 22 until September 3.

A spokesperson for Places Leisure, the company responsible for the Splash Park, said: "You asked, we delivered! The sun is back and so are we.

"For the final time this year, we are opening our gates at the Maldon Splash Park this weekend. Trust us, you don't want to miss out!"

The Maldon District Council-owned splash park is now run by Places Leisure. This followed the park facing closure in 2021 when it needed a £150,000 refurbishment.

Offering a place to cool off during the summer, the popular family attraction is located in the central 'Valley' of Maldon's Promenade Park,

The updated Price List for 2023 is:

  • Adult & child under 8 - £3.25
  • Adult & 2 children under 8 - £5.50
  • Adult & 3 children under 8 - £7.75
  • Child over 8 - £2.50
  • Additional adult - £1

Each 25-minute session must be pre-booked on the Places Leisure website.
