The free community festival will take over Promenade Park next Friday (August 16).

UFest, held in Maldon Promenade Park, is returning this year for its third year after positive feedback in 2023.

The festival aims to "celebrate everything that makes life worth living", offering live music acts, arts and performances and fun activities.

Community groups, services, and businesses will be in attendance giving advice and chatting to residents.

Yoga, meditation, gaming sessions, arts and crafts classes, music and singing sessions, reading groups, interactive play will be also be available.

While championing wellbeing and community, the festival aims to bring local people together for a day of joy and connection.

After announcing the date of this year's festival back in March, Councillor Richard Siddall, Leader of Maldon District Council said, "I am really pleased that UFest is returning to Maldon Promenade Park for 2024. The festival received so much positive feedback last year, and the team behind UFest are planning an even bigger and better festival this year.

"UFest provides the opportunity for you to find the support you might need in dealing with the cost of living, or family and personal support. It is also a great free fun day where all members of the family can have the chance to enjoy themselves and try new activities and interests."

The festival kicks off at 11am and "keeps the good vibes flowing" until 4pm. Free entry.
