A new warehouse building at an existing Heybridge industrial site was approved last week by Maldon District Council Planning.

The new warehouse will be used for storage, as a part of the existing commercial use of the site as a UK leading electrical wholesalers and plumbers merchants.

It will be in addition to the existing 52,000 square foot warehouse used by 'Tec Supplies Group', as well as the merchant's 22,000 square foot Wycke Hill Showroom.

The site, which sits at the rear of Bridge House, Hall Road, overlooks the River Blackwater and sits alongside Riverside Building Supplies and Eltime Controls.

The new warehouse building will also result in an additional eight lorry spaces, five car spaces and two van spaces.

This approval comes two years after a previous application was refused by the Council due to environmental risks related to its proximity to the River Blackwater and a lack of sufficient parking matching demand.
