Police investigating Maldon accident which resulted in bike rider being flown to hospital call for information and witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A414 Maldon Road in which a motorcyclist was injured and flown to hospital by the air ambulance.

The incident happened at around 10am on Saturday, 10 September near to the junction with Tom Tit Lane.

A red motorbike and a grey Nissan Navara truck were both travelling in the direction of Bicknacre when the collision occurred.

The motorcyclist was flown to hospital where he remains but his condition is not thought to be life threatening.

Officers closed the road for a short time while they dealt with the collision and they are continuing to investigate the circumstances.
