A popular music festival is gearing up for its return to Maldon's Promenade Park in June 2024, with stars including Lisa Stansfield on the line-up.

Preparations are already being made for SOULTASIA Essex, a one-day music festival set to attract thousands of soul fans.

The Manchester-born singer and actress shot to fame in 1980, when she won TV talent show 'Search for a Star'. In the years since then, she has scored a UK Number One for her 1989 hit 'All Around The World' and earned herself two GRAMMY Award nominations.

Also on the line-up is Gwen Dickey, "the voice of Rose Royce", who will perform classic 70s hits such as 'Car Wash' and 'Wishing on a Star'.

Meanwhile, acid jazz and funk group The Brand New Heavies will put on a greatest hits show, featuring tracks from the last four decades.

Tickets for the event are already on sale on Skiddle. It will take place in Promenade Park on Saturday 8 June 2024.
