The host of a popular TV show will attend a special movie event at Maldon Town Hall next week, commemorating 105 years since Armistice Day.

Military artefact enthusiast Bruce Compton, star of 'Combat Dealers', is Patron of the Combined Military Services Museum (CMSM). On November 4 from 7pm, Bruce will host a one-off screening of 'The War to End All Wars', an animated film made in collaboration with Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton

"Join us for an unforgettable evening of cinematic brilliance and reverence for our shared history," Museum Curator Julie Miller said.

The museum promises an immersive experience that combines the "riveting storytelling" of Sabaton's music with the "visual artistry" of a thought-provoking film.

A special raffle of cherished memorabilia will be conducted, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting the CMSM. There will also be limited edition event t-shirts and World War One recruitment posters on sale.

Members of the WW1 re-enactment group '10th Essex Battalion' will attend in period costume and there will be an appearance by Maldon Town Mayor Councillor Andrew Lay.

For more information and booking details, visit the CMSM website.
