Maldon: Combined Military Services Museum to host screening of WW1 film made by Swedish heavy metal band
The Combined Military Services Museum (CMSM) will host an "extraordinary cinematic event" at Maldon Town Hall on November 4, transporting visitors "to the trenches of history".
Made by animation studio Yarnhub and Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton, 'The War to End All Wars' will be screened at 7pm.
CMSM promises an immersive experience that combines the "riveting storytelling" of Sabaton's music with the "visual artistry" of a thought-provoking film. 'The War to End All Wars' aims to take viewers on a journey through the harrowing battles, sacrifices, and triumphs of World War I - set to epic war-themed anthems.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Combined Military Services Museum for this exclusive screening" says Pär Sundström, Manager and Bassist of Sabaton.
"This film is a tribute to the bravery and resilience of those who lived through World War I, and we are excited to share their stories through our music and visuals."
Attendees can witness history "come alive on the big screen", while surrounded by fellow history enthusiasts and fans of heavy metal. The CMSM says it is renowned for its commitment to preserving and honouring military history, making it the perfect partner for this monumental event.
Tickets for the exclusive screening of 'War to End All Wars' are available on the official CMSM website. Seating is limited.
Jason Hulott, Trustee of CMSM, said: "We are dedicated to educating and engaging audiences in the stories of military history."
"Partnering with Sabaton to present 'War to End All Wars' aligns perfectly with our mission and offers a unique way to connect with the past."
The aim of the Combined Military Services Museum is to display artefacts from Britain's military history, for the education and enjoyment of both present and future generations.
