• Ring-making Workshop, Colchester

In this three hour workshop you will get the opportunity to make a silver ring from scratch. You'll learn the fundamentals from an expert tutor, who will give guidance and demonstrations on how to complete each step. You'll even go home with your homemade ring! Head to the BENCH space in The Shipyard Estate Colchester.

• Southend Pier Zombie Walk, Southend

To celebrate the Horror-on-Sea Festival in Southend, people will be gathering at the pier to walk the length in their best zombie attire. This fully inclusive event is a bit of fun, and a great way to kick off the New Year.

The Witham Wombles Litter Pickers will be setting off in Blackwater Rail Trail Country Park to clean up nature. Meet at Pasture Road at 10am, equipment is provided.
