What’s On Special: Classic Ibiza, Soultasia, and Raver Tots
This weekend at Promenade Park is packed full of live music and fun activities, with Classic Ibiza, Soultasia and Raver Tots returning to Maldon this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
We have compiled all you need to know about the events, how to get tickets, and what to expect.
Friday - Classic Ibiza
Classic Ibiza, a lively open-air concert, returns to Maldon's Promenade Park on Sunday.
Promising to be the party of summer, a 32-piece live orchestra, DJs and vocalists will take the stage, reimagining some of the biggest dance hits of the past 30 years.
Concertgoers are set to experience a full festival-style site with glitter make-up stalls, live roaming entertainers and a number of bars and street food outlets.
Event organiser Anthony Ellis, says: "We have toured this show to sell-out crowds all over the UK and cannot wait to bring it back to Maldon after a very successful first year last year.
"The audience has a great night in store, with some of the biggest dance anthems ever being brought to orchestral life on stage. Get ready for goosebumps, it's going to be a night to remember!"
Gates open from 4.00 pm, with bars and DJs also starting from 4.
Headliner, The Urban Soul Orchestra, will take to the stage at 7.30 pm.
Special guests include Baby D and Wideboys.
Final release tickets from £41.25 are on sale now via the Summertime Live website.
FAQ'S
Classic Ibiza does not allow food, drink or picnics into the venue, with the exception of sealed water bottles of no more than 500ml.
Bags no larger than an A4 piece of paper may be brought into the event, with all bags searched on entry.
Chairs are permitted everywhere but the Golden Circle.
The site is cashless.
The performance contains lasers and flashing lights.
The last entry is 8 pm and there is no readmission once you enter the site.
Over 18s only.
Saturday - Soultasia
Soultasia Essex returns to Promenade Park this Saturday, set to bring a spectacular night of soul and disco.
This year's line-up features musical superstar Lisa Stansfield, as well as Change, Fatback Band, Evelyn Champagne King, Gwen Dickey (The Voice of Rose Royce), The Brand New Heavies and David Grant.
As well as music, there will be funfair rides, a licensed bar and gourmet food.
Steve Cochrane, the festival co-owner, says: "We are so excited to announce the 4th edition of Soultasia, delivering some of the world's biggest performers of soul & disco in Essex."
Doors open at 2 pm, with music starting at 4 pm.
Second-release standard admission tickets are still available for £38.75.
Under 10s tickets are free, but must be purchased alongside a standard ticket.
Car parking at Maldon Promenade Park has sold out, but there are still tickets available for car parking at Lower Plume School for £10.15.
The event has been rated on ticket site Skiddle as ⅘ stars for music, location and atmosphere in previous years.
FAQs
Soultasia does not allow food or alcohol into the venue, with no liquids allowed in the arena with the exception of four sealed 500ml > bottles of water.
There will be water stations at the event where you can fill your bottle up all day for free.
Fold-up chairs may be brought into the event but cannot be in the packaging. They must remain in designated areas, not directly in front of the stage.
Bag searches will be taking place.
Food units will only accept card, but bars will accept both cash and card.
The main entrance is by Rossi Ice Cream kiosk, with the secondary entrance by The Petting Zoo.
Soultasia encourages visitors to not drive to the park, unless you have pre-purchased a car park ticket.
Sunday- Raver Tots
Raver Tots returns to Essex on Sunday for their biggest family-friendly festival yet.
The festival, catering to all ages from 0 years old, will have a massive outdoor stage featuring house, garage, and drum and bass music, geared towards the whole family.
As well as a packed club-style line-up, there will be character meet and greets, free funfair and kids rides, stalls, games, inflatables and play areas, dinosaur meet and greet, arts and crafts, face painting and glitter art.
There will also be a fully licensed bar, street food options, and most importantly, a large safe open-air dance space.
Parents are warned to expect club lighting in a festival-style environment, but to stay rest assured that music is monitored and volume is kept at safe levels at all times.
Doors open at 1 pm, with the event going on until 6 pm.
All kids under 12 require child tickets, with final release tickets available from £25.
Adult tickets are from £30, with no adults allowed in without a child. There is a maximum of three adults per child.
Babies under 12 months must have a £5 ticket.
Promenade Park parking is still available from £12.
