Maldon & Tiptree have been handed a bumper home tie against Football League side, Morecambe FC of League 2 in the First Round of the Emirates FA Cup. The draw was made live on national television on Monday, 26 October.

Reacting to the draw, Jammers manager, Wayne Brown spoke with the clubs media team:

" I am very pleased, especially to be handed a home draw against a Football League side in Morecambe - it is really beneficial to us as a team and the club. It's a good draw for us and I am delighted the boys will be able to apply their skills against full-time and professional footballers.

"I believe we are the lowest ranked team left in the competition who have a home tie, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that we are picked as one of the feature games, live on National Television. It would raise much needed money for the club and it would be a fantastic reward for the group of players at the club, after their hard work to get this far."

The fixture is due to be played the weekend of 7 November, with a date and time for the fixture to be confirmed.
