The first homes at a new development in Hatfield Peverel have gone on sale to meet growing demand from buyers in the local area.

Bellway has released the first homes at Hatfield Grove online – ahead of the launch on site in October – to cater to the rising interest in moving from people in the wake of the stamp duty holiday announcement by the Government.

A selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes are being built at Hatfield Grove from Bellway's new Artisan Collection, including new bungalow and coach-house apartment designs. Once complete, the development will include 87 private homes and a mix of affordable houses and apartments.

Those completing the purchase of their new home by 31 March 2021 will pay no stamp duty up to £500,000.

Jenny Walker, Sales Director at Bellway Essex, said: "The stamp duty holiday is a limited-time bonus which has generated a great deal of interest in moving following lockdown, as people can save up to £15,000 on stamp duty if they complete before the end of March next year.

"We've launched a select number of homes from our new Artisan Collection in Hatfield Peverel online, ahead of the sales office opening on site in September, to meet this surge in demand from customers.

The development enjoys a convenient location next to Hatfield Peverel train station, perfect for commuters travelling to Ipswich or London Liverpool Street, approximately 40 minutes away. Local amenities are also just a short walk away, while residents can easily access the A12 for access to Chelmsford and Colchester."
