The district's two non-League clubs had mixed fortunes in today's FA Cup First Qualifying Round draw.

The reward for Heybridge Swifts after their 2-0 away win against FC Romania on Sunday is a tough-looking trip to Hitchen Town of the  Southern League Premier Central division.

High-league Hitchin are unbeaten in the league to date, with two wins and two draws.

Maldon Town, who came through with a 2-0 win against Harpenden are at home to Haringey Borough from the Isthmian Premier. They are currently winless from three matches with just a point to their name.

Matches will be played on Saturday, 3 September and the winners receive £2,250 and the losers £750.
