Witham Amateur Operatics Society (WAOS) presents the hilarious and marginally risqué parody of Broadway/West End musicals, Young Frankenstein, written by the inimitable Mel Brooks.

The perfect mixture of horror, comedy, and musical frenzy, this production puts a beating heart into the pages of its original story.

Brooks' musical follows the grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Dr Frederick Frankenstein, who inherits a castle in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked side- kick Igor and a leggy lab assistant Inga, Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's Alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfathers. Of course, the monster escapes and hilarity abounds.

Monsters and mayhem prevail.

Performed at the beautiful theatre within Witham Public Hall, Collingwood Road, Witham, CM8 2DY.
