AN engineering firm opening in Maldon is bringing 100 new jobs to the town.

Advanced Diesel Engineering is now looking for people to fill a range of roles at the site in Galliford Road – from reception and back office staff to welders, electricians, spray painters, stores persons, sales reps and design engineers.

Apprenticeships are also available and the company, trading as Acoustic Solutions Essex, is encouraging anyone interested to have the confidence to apply as training for some roles can be provided.

The new site will complement the firm's existing sites in West and South Yorkshire and Stafford, with the aim of establishing the company in the south of the UK.

The huge new premises will be designing and manufacturing bespoke acoustic containers and enclosures to house diesel and gas generators, providing emergency power to hospitals, prisons, banks, data centres, supermarkets, and warehouses.

Maldon District Council has welcomed the news of more jobs for the town.

A spokesperson said: "It is really good news that despite the challenging time we have faced, there are still businesses which are able to expand and be in a position to create employment for over 100 people."

Anyone interested in a position with Advanced Diesel Engineering can contact them on jobs at ade ltd.
