Maldon's annual fireworks display will return to Promenade Park this Saturday (November 4), promising an exciting evening of entertainment for all ages.

The BBC Essex stage will kick off with live music from 5.30pm. Maldon-based shanty singers Mains'l Haul will provide some rousing tunes on the stage.

Brian Farrington, Chairman of the Maldon Fireworks Organising Committee said: "Please remember this is a sell-out event and tickets are only available online until Friday evening.

"We are excited to be joined by the legendary Joel Hicks to showcase his fantastic display of fire-breathing."

The BBC Essex team will entertain the kids until what is set to be an incredible firework display, delivered by the same team who showcase London's Thames event every New Year's Eve.

Finally, to save a rush to the car park, BBC Essex's John Leech will provide an hour of soul music. Mums and dads can relax and enjoy the food and drink available from local artisan suppliers on the night.

Maldon Fireworks, organised by Maldon Rotary Club, supports charities in and around the town.
