Police are appealing for information to help find an unaccompanied young boy, who has been seen three times this evening (Tuesday, 15 March) in Heybridge.

The boy is estimated to be six to nine years old and is described as medium build, wearing only Marvel pyjama bottoms.

He was seen in The Street at around 6pm and, 20 minutes later, in Holloway Road.

Inspector Mark Jones, from the Chelmsford and Maldon local policing team, is asking anyone who recognises the description of the boy or knows where he is to make contact with Essex Police.

He said: "We have conducted searches in the localities but have not found the boy yet.

"We want to make sure he is ok and that he is safe.

"It may be that he has returned home and that is why we haven't found him yet. If that is the case, I would ask his guardians to call us and let us know where he is."

Anyone who can help police locate or identify the boy is asked to call 101 and quote incident 1011 of 15 March.
