Friday 4 August
UFEST at Maldon Promenade Park - postponed due to forecast thunderstorms
A free day of events had been planned with live music, activities, stalls and events for the whole community, focusing on health, wellbeing and fun.
Unfortunately, the decision has since been taken to postpone UFEST due to the forecasted rain and thunderstorms. Organisers are looking to reschedule the event and will announce the new date "as soon as possible".
Festival of Flowers at St Mary's Church, Maldon - from 10am
St Mary's Church, Maldon, will host its annual flower festival this weekend, with refreshments served in the Octagon and on the patio outside.
The Festival of Flowers will begin on Friday (August 4) with a Mass at 9.30am.
This year, the theme will centre on 'creation'.
It will be open on Friday and Saturday, from 10am to 4pm, and Sunday from 12 noon until 4pm. There will be an 'All Age' mass held at 10am on Sunday as usual.
Saturday 5 August
Boot Sale at St Mary the Virgin, Burnham On Crouch - from 9.30am
St Mary's is holding a series of boot sales in aid of church funds.
Sell your unwanted items, or pay a visit and pick up a boot fair bargain. Entry for cars costs £7, vans £10, buyers 50p.
Refreshments will be available in the church. Weather permitting.
The Call to Arms event at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome - from 10am
Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, Europe's largest surviving First World War aerodrome, will be stepping back in time on August 5 and 6.
The popular local museum will welcome leading Living History groups from across the country, led by long term partners The Nimy Company, to give visitors a rare glimpse into the past. Men and women will be recreating the fateful weekend in 1914 when the armed forces of Great Britain were mobilised to defend Belgium and France.
Visitors, as part of their regular admission fee, will be able to mingle amongst the soldiers and their camps and enjoy all sorts of displays of musketry, drill and more.

'Non-Carnival' Event at All Saints' Church, Maldon - from 11am
This Saturday (August 5), All Saints' Church on Maldon High Street will hold a 'non-Carnival' celebration, with refreshments and stalls.
From 11am until 2pm, hot dogs and bacon rolls will be on sale, along with tea and coffee.
A variety of stalls will sell books, plants, puzzles and more.
A Summer Musical Bouquet at Althorne Church - from 2.30pm
The TLC Ensemble present instrumental and vocal music for a summer afternoon. Many popular favourites.
There will be tea and cake as well as a raffle, with donations shared between Megacentre Ukraine Fund and Althorne Church Repair Fund.
Sunday 6 August
Bikemeet & Record Fair at The Museum of Power - from 10am
From 10am until 4pm, enjoy classic, vintage, custom, race and touring displays. Trials demonstrations, club stands, stalls, bar and live band.
Stalls and entertainment. Food Festival with a variety of food stalls.
Entry for adults costs £8, Concessions £7, Children (5-15) £5. Children Under 5 enter for free
The Miniature Railway will be OPEN for rides (extra charge applies). Astaria Model Village will also be OPEN
Friary Walled Garden Open Day, Maldon - from 10am
Visitors are invited to explore the Friary Walled Garden in White Horse Lane, Maldon, this Sunday (August 6).
This unexpected green oasis covers just one fifth of an acre, hidden behind ancient red brick walls, with its entrance next to the to town library.
The open day will include the sale of festive Christmas holly wreaths.
