The popular children's author, Jacqueline Wilson, was invited to the town by Maldon Books' Olivia Rosenthall.
An Afternoon with Jacqueline Wilson at Maldon United Reformed Church: from 2pm
The award-winning author of The Story of Tracy Beaker and Dustbin Baby will host a talk about Project Fairy, her 'captivating' new book about fairies, families, and friendship.
It has been organised by Olivia Rosenthall, owner of Maldon Books.
Pre-signed copies of Project Fairy can be ordered here, while un-signed copies will be available to purchase on the day.

Oktoberfest at the Prince of Wales pub, Great Totham: from 5pm
Enjoy beer and sausages at this friendly, local pub - in celebration of Oktoberfest.

Love Your Library Day at Maldon Library: from 10am until 4pm
The theme for this October's Love Your Library Day is the environment and there will be themed activities at Maldon Library.
There'll be a fun trail to complete and crafts, as well as opportunities to learn about the environment and your local area from our partner organisations including a visit from our local Guide Dog puppies.

Family Watercolour Class at Tollesbury Congregational Church: from 10am until 12.30pm
A watercolour class for all members of the family of absolutely any age or painting experience.
£8 adults, £4 children
Bring your own materials (although we do have some available to borrow). Watercolour paper on sale 50p/sheet.
