Science Teacher at Plume Academy, Maldon - £28,000 - £43,685 per annum

Plume Academy is seeking to appoint a full-time Teacher of Science on a full-time permanent contract basis with effect from 3 January 2023.

The post offers an excellent opportunity to work in a very strong Science Faculty in a highly successful 11-19 academy which holds good Ofsted status. The role will report to the Faculty Leader and the candidate will teach a full timetable within the subject.

In accordance with the job description for Classroom Teacher, the key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Ensure that lessons are planned in accordance with the schemes of learning for each course
  • Ensure awareness of the prior learning and special educational needs of their students
  • Ensure high expectations are set for the achievement and behaviour of students
  • Ensure that relevant curriculum policies for marking, assessment, target setting, recording and reporting are enacted
  • Ensure that progression and continuity is achieved across the key stage and between the key stages

Administrative assistant and Midday Assistant at Heybridge Primary School

Tollesbury is a friendly, village school that has strong links with the local community. It is seeking to appoint an organised, friendly, reliable and professional person with excellent administrative and interpersonal skills to work in the busy School Office and as part of the Lunchtime team.

Heybridge Primary School is looking for a candidate who:

  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Has good computer skills (a knowledge of SIMS would be desirable)
  • Can maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Will treat every child and adult with respect
  • Is a team player with a sense of humour
  • Has a flexible approach to daily tasks and is able to use their own initiative
  • Can multi-task and work calmly and accurately under pressure

Duties will include:

  • Supporting our busy reception
  • Answering telephone and parent queries
  • Administering first aid to pupils and staff
  • Collating dinner numbers and liaising with the catering manager
  • Managing the school dinner money programme and debt management
  • Liaising with parents via School Ping and Pay 360
  • Photocopying
  • Word processing, data entry and other administrative/reception tasks as required
  • Ensuring that children have an enjoyable and safe dinner time

Pay Range: Scale 4 point 6-7, Scale 2 point 2-3.

Catering Assistant at St Mary's Church of England Primary School, Burnham-on-Crouch - £4,748 - £4,834 per annum

St Marys is seeking to appoint a catering assistant to join its successful '5 star' kitchen team. You will work alongside the catering manager and the other catering assistant with preparation, serving and clearing up after school meals and would have the opportunity to try different roles within the kitchen.

You will also be able to serve and interact with the well-behaved children who attend St Mary's.

Successful applicants will need to have a flexible approach and be a team player, willing to work hard alongside colleagues.

You will also need to be approachable and positive towards the children. Some catering experience is desirable, but not essential, as the school will ensure that you were provided with the necessary training and support.

Visits to the school would be warmly welcomed.

School Administrator & Reprographics Support at Ormiston Rivers Academy, Burnham-On-Crouch - £20,500 per annum

The role will involve a variety of tasks, including high level administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and departmental staff, PR and Marketing activities, including website update and compliance and reprographics tasks, to support staff in the production of resources and documentation to enable the efficient and effective delivery of the curriculum.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, efficient and flexible, with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to demonstrate a keen eye for detail. You should have significant knowledge of Microsoft Office suites, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as knowledge of web-based & cloud packages. Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

The role will report to the Faculty Leader and the candidate will teach a full timetable within the subject. The faculty has a strong collaborative ethos, is very supportive and well-planned schemes of learning for all courses are already in place. A faculty-based mentor will work with the appointee to support their development and induction in their first year. There is also an excellent academy-wide support and development programme for all new staff available.

Learning Support Assistant (Key Stage 1) at Heybridge Primary School

This is a great opportunity for an individual who is able to provide learning activities for classes under the professional direction and supervision of a qualified teacher and who is able to assist in planning, preparing and delivering lessons and assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with or caring for children of relevant age in a primary school setting KS1, KS2. Having proven practical skills to support children with SEN in a mainstream setting would be an advantage.

This role will require some flexibility and liaison with teaching and midday supervising staff to ensure the child's needs are met throughout the school day. Personal care for children will be required. We believe that all children thrive in an environment in which they are happy, challenged and secure: secure in the knowledge they are safe and cared for; challenged to achieve their best; and happy in the knowledge they are each appreciated for their individuality and their achievements. We are looking to recruit a qualified, highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team.

31.25 hours per week (8.30am-3.30pm), with a 15-minute morning break and 30 minutes' lunch break (unpaid).

Pay Range: NJC Scale 3, Range point 4 to 5.
