Ben Garner's Colchester United side will take on West Ham's under-21s in their penultimate friendly at Park Drive, Maldon, this evening (July 28).

Kick-off is at 7.30pm and tickets will be on sale on the gates from the Jammers. Entry for adults costs £8, and £5 for concession holders and those under 18.

A spokesperson for Colchester United said: "Colchester has come up against the young Irons a handful of times in recent years, with games against East London side in the EFL Trophy.

"And the youngsters will provide a good test for Garner's side ahead of the new season – so far they have recorded a loss and a draw in their own pre-season, against Ebbsfleet United and Dagenham and Redbridge."
