Both local Isthmian North sides are in action this evening (Tuesday, 11 October).

Heybridge Swifts will be playing host to Gorleston in the league while Maldon & Tiptree will also be home, to Hashtag United in the Isthmian Velocity Trophy.

A win for Swifts would catapult them into the play-off zone and Steve Tilson's team will be optimistic, facing opposition who have not taken a point from their six league matches this season.

For Maldon, also winless and pointless in the league and in bottom spot, the fixture is a chance to take a break from the pressures from what has already developed into a relegation battle and will be a second opportunity for new manager Adam Flint to stake stock of his squad.
