Maldon Drama Group presents 'Steaming' by Nell Dunn - full details here

Maldon Town Hall

Theatre

20th Apr 2023 - 22nd Apr 2023

UNTIL Saturday 22nd April

Five very different women regularly enjoy a ‘steam up’ at the Trigate Road communal baths - under the watchful eye of Violet, who runs the place - in Maldon Drama Group's latest production.

Following its award-winning production of 'Ladykillers', Maldon Drama Group will perform Nell Dunn's 'Steaming' at the Town Hall on April 20, 21 and 22.

Five very different women regularly enjoy a 'steam up' at the Trigate Road communal baths - under the watchful eye of Violet, who runs the place.

Here they share their fears, regrets and their dreams for a better future. When the baths are threatened with closure, will they manage to work together to save them?

This award-winning drama/comedy gives us an insight into the lives, and thoughts, of women of different ages and social classes - sometimes comic, sometimes hard-hitting and tragic, and sometimes mundane ("Violet, can you do my corns?").

Maldon Drama Group will be hoping to repeat the success of its last two productions, when it performs 'Steaming' from 20 to 22 April at 7.30pm.

Ticket prices range from £10 (for the stalls) to £12 (for the balcony) and are available to purchase via Maldon Drama Group's Ticketsource website.

Doors open at 7pm, and there will be a licensed bar. Contains some strong language and sexual themes.
