Nursery Practitioner Maldon, Essex £24,212 - £25,960pa Job Summary We are currently working with a nursery in Maldon who are dedicated to providing high-quality childcare and education for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. They are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join their team. The nursery offers a homely, safe, and stimulating environment where children can develop to their full potential through play. They pride themselves on close partnerships with parents and families to ensure each child receives personalised care and attention. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and implementation of a high-quality early years curriculum following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of junior early years educators within the team.
  • Conduct regular observations and assessments to monitor children's progress and address any additional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to enhance the quality of care and education provided.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication regarding their children s development.
  • Ensure a safe, engaging learning environment, creatively utilising resources to support all areas of learning.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to the nursery s overall strategy and goals.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education (higher qualifications preferred).
  • Experience in an early years setting with a proven ability to lead and improve educational outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of the EYFS, child development, and best practices in early years education.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and creating a nurturing, stimulating environment for all children.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
