Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Conventional Assembly Technician to be based in Maldon.

Main purpose of the role is through hole conventional assembly by hand using soldering irons and using the selective soldering machine. The successful candidate will be carrying out reworks and modifications of both through hole and surface mount assemblies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Component pre-forming
• Through hole soldering using soldering irons
• Component insertion (manual)
• Programming selective soldering machine
• Running selective soldering machine
• Minor Mechanical Assembly
• Rework
• Modification work

Skills, experience & Knowledge

• At least 2-3 years work experience in electronic manufacturing
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
• Knowledge of component recognition
• Able to determine the polarity of components
• Experience using hand tools including soldering irons, cutters and magnifiers.
