Our client, a leader in transport transformation, dedicated to accelerating the transition to zero-emission vehicles is currently looking to hire a Principal Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will lead the design, development, integration, and validation of complex systems and architectures across multiple projects. The Principal Systems Engineer will:
- Develop and execute validation and verification plans to ensure the system performs as expected in real-world conditions.
- Lead the definition, design, and development of complex systems and their architectures, ensuring they meet customer requirements, performance goals, and industry standards.
- Drive system design reviews and provide technical oversight to ensure successful integration across subsystems.
- Lead technical discussions and present system designs, technical reports, and progress updates to senior management and clients.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams in systems engineering best practices and methodologies.
- Develop system-level requirements, functional specifications, and interface definitions for complex products and systems.
The Principal Systems Engineer will have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years (Senior) 8-10 years (Principal) relevant industry experience.
- Expert level knowledge of MathWorks toolchain, including MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
- Experience in automotive or yellow goods EV Systems systems design covering the entire lifecycle on vehicle level (Motors or batteries)
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as SysML, MagicDraw, System Composer.
- Broad skillset, not just in one area but ability to coordinate cross functionally efficiently.
