An expanding family run, high technology company in Maldon, are looking to recruit a Senior Assembler to assemble electronic components to a high quality with limited supervision. You will be the most highly qualified member of the conventional assembly team.

Duties:

• Support and train junior members of the team.
• Liaise with customers and other team members using your knowledge and experience to assist customers to make improvements to assemblies and procedures for continual improvement.
• Be responsible for the most complex work that comes in.
• Make modifications
• Perform reworks (internal and external)
• Undertake unusually complex hand soldering
• Feedback to customers and team members for continual improvements
• Support and training of more junior team members.

Experience Required:

• Extensive experience of electronic manufacturing and conventional assembly
• A working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
• Experience and training/qualifications in Through Hole Assembly
• Must have a good understanding of solder flow
• Must be able to understand drawings and follow work instructions.
• Hold a J-STD-001 certification or be willing to complete certification.
• Must have good component recognition skills and be able to determine the
• polarity of the components being placed
• Must be able to determine polarity from drawings or board markings.
• Must be familiar with a range of hand tools including soldering irons, cutters and magnifiers
