Sous Chef – Full-Time | Maldon CM4

We're looking for a passionate and driven Sous Chef/Assistant to Head Chef to join our small but dedicated kitchen team at The Queen Victoria, Spital Road Maldon and The Maldon Smokehouse location.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's eager to grow their career.

In this role, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen, guide culinary direction, and ensure top-quality food delivery.

You'll play a key role in shaping the team's performance and helping to build the restaurant's reputation and future accolades.

What We're Looking For:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a quality UK kitchen
• Strong knowledge of British and European cuisine
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational and team-building skills
• A genuine passion for food and learning
• Confidence in managing stock and understanding kitchen Health & Safety procedures

Additional Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Full UK Driver's Licence preferred
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
