UNTIL Thursday 1st September

There has been a change of speaker at this evening's meeting, as Lucy Walker-Hutt will replace Willow & Fox owner Allison Gray.

The monthly Maldon Society meetings are held in the Cygnet Room behind the Swan Hotel in Maldon High Street.

Lucy Walker-Hutt, owner of SILO Zero Waste Refillery, will share her experience of running a Maldon High Street business.

SILO first opened in September 2019, and moved from the High Street to a new premises in Wenlock Way earlier this year.

Last year, Lucy told Nub News about the challenges she and her business had faced during the pandemic.

She said: "The support we had from the community was amazing – both from our customers and from the other traders on the High Street, too.

"This really is a close community of businesses and everyone has supported each other."

Doors open at 6.30pm and the meeting will start at 7pm. Drinks may be bought from the bar and brought to the Cygnet Room.

There has been a change of speaker at this evening's meeting, as Lucy Walker-Hutt will replace Willow & Fox owner Allison Gray.

A raffle will be held to help raise funds and visitors will be requested to give a donation while members have free entry.
