Maldon will become a 'Magic Tenner Town' next month as part of a campaign to support small and independent high street businesses across the country.

Running from March 1 to 16, the Totally Locally campaign will see lots of £10 offers from your favourite Maldon High Street independent shops and businesses.

The campaign hopes to show how spending just £10 in a local independent can mean up to £50 going back into the local economy, based on a study by The New Economics Foundation.

Jess Frost, Director of Maldon clothing and accessory retailer Willow & Fox and local organiser of the Magic Tenner Campaign said: "The Magic Tenner campaign aims to get people out on the High Street and attract more people to the town.

"Even if people may not get the £10 offer, it means people might look around your shop and eat out on the High Street."

Shops and businesses taking part in the campaign will display a bold blue and yellow poster in their windows.

Businesses confirmed to be taking part so far include:

Among many more.

"Independent shops bring something different to the High Street," Jess added.

"Behind each shop is an individual or a family, and it's their business that they have built themselves."

For more information about taking part in the campaign, you can contact Jess at [email protected] or Totally Locally directly here.
